Wendy Peralta
Wendy
Peralta was born to a non-horse family and started her
career as a self-proclaimed barn rat. Eager to learn she
spent all of her free time at the local stable on the
Eastern end of Long Island. Fortunate enough she was to have
an old fashioned mentor in local horsewoman legend Fanny
Gardiner. There she learned all aspects of horse care from
the ground up.
Moving on Wendy worked briefly breaking
racehorses and finally settled into a show horse career. She
opened her own business in 1984 in North Salem, New York and
relocated to Florida in 1990, calling Central Florida home
ever since.
Wendy has had a great career showing
and selling horses, and also training students receiving the
highest honors in their respective divisions. She has served
on the board for the Central Florida Hunter and Jumper
Association, the Zone IV Jumper Committee, and is the
current Chef d’ Equip of the Zone IV Young and Junior Rider
teams.
She
is the mother of three extraordinary children, Trevor, Nikko,
and Catalina.
